Our Kelowna dentists offer porcelain veneers as a treatment option to help alter the shape of your individual teeth and give you a more even smile.
What is a Dental Veneer?
A dental veneer is a thin shell that your dentist bonds to the front of your natural teeth. At Dr. Steve Johnson Dental Group, we use porcelain veneers to repair a variety of dental issues and help improve your overall smile.
The Veneer Process
Generally, porcelain veneers take at least two dental visits. At your first appointment, your dentist will begin by taking an impression of your teeth so that a custom veneer can be created for you.
Once the veneer is ready, you will need to return for a second appointment where your dentist will bond your custom veneer to your natural tooth.
Reasons For Veneers
Dental veneers are a less intrusive alternative to dental crowns that can help create a uniform smile and address a variety of issues, including:
- Crooked teeth
- Misshapen teeth
- Severely discoloured or stained teeth
- Worn or chipped teeth
- Uneven spaces
- Teeth that are too small or too large
