  • Dr. Deborah Zokol, DMD

    General Dentist

    Dr. Deborah Zokol graduated from the faculty of Dentistry at the University of British Columbia in 1991.

    After graduation, she practiced in Vancouver with her father and brother at their dental group for two years. Loving the Okanagan area, she relocated here and spent 25 years in Kelowna and Vernon establishing dental establishments.

    In June of 2016, Dr. Zokol joined the Dr. Steve Johnson Dental Group bringing her dental experience with her.

    In her spare time Dr. Zokol can be found in the kitchen cooking incredible meals or on the dance floor perfecting her West Coast swing moves.

  • Dr. Rafael Marroquin, DDS

    General Dentist

    Dr. Rafael Marroquin obtained his dental surgery degree in El Salvador in 2009. He continued his education by receiving his post grad in orthodontics in 2012.

    Dr. Marroquin practiced for a number of years in El Salvador before moving to Toronto and began taking the steps to challenge the National Dental Examination board, which resulted in his acceptance into Dalhousie University for the International Dental program in 2015. Dr. Marroquin graduated from Dalhousie University in 2017 with a degree in dental surgery.

    Dr. Rafael Marroquin moved out west in the spring of 2017 and began practicing with the Dr. Steve Johnson Dental Group in June of 2017.

    His wife has joined him here in the Okanagan and they have embraced the Kelowna lifestyle. Dr. Marroquin has taken on the challenge of learning to ski and snowboard and they enjoy the sunny weather, biking, and trying out new restaurants and wineries.

  • Dr. Steve Johnson, DDS

    General Dentist

    Dr. Steve Johnson obtained his degree in dentistry from the University of Liverpool in 1982. After which he worked in the Maxio-Facial Facility in The Royal Liverpool Hospital.

    In September 1983, Dr. Johnson started working for the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador with the Grenfell Regional Health Authority. This organization provided health services to outlying communities in Northern Newfoundland and Southern Labrador. In this capacity, his scope of practice ranged from general dentistry to major facial trauma and reconstruction.

    In early 1985, Dr. Johnson moved to the St. Johns area of Newfoundland where he owned and operated two private dental clinics, one of which was in Ferryland and the other in Trepassey. Dr. Johnson moved to Kelowna to open his practice in July 1987, and completed his National Dental Examination Board Certification.

    Dr. Johnson and his wife, Kathryn, have four sons and have been long-time resident of Kelowna. Dr. Johnson has been involved in the local dental society, has held all position on the executive, is a past member of The Rutland Kinsman Club, is a past 12 year member of The Tucker Gold Study Club, has contributed to the Gospel Mission Dental Clinic and actively supports the Freedom’s Door Society.

    Over the last several years, Dr. Johnson has taken a keen interest in dental implants, as well as single-visit ceramic restorations. He has taken and continues to take many educational courses and clinics, allowing him to offer a comprehensive array of dental services.

  • Dr. Ayden Ledding, DMD

    General Dentist

    Dr. Ayden Ledding grew up in Kelowna and completed his undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Science - Microbiology at UBCO. Throughout his undergraduate studies Ayden volunteered at the Kelowna Gospel Mission Dental clinic, founded the UBCO Pre-Dental Society and worked in general and specialist dental practices as a dental assistant. His dental education took him to Sydney Australia where he attended the University of Sydney. Ayden worked at three public hospitals in Sydney and completed a rural rotation in Ballina, NSW before graduating with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.

    Ayden enjoys working with patients to help achieve their dental goals with calm, sympathetic and patient-centric treatment. Ayden currently offers general dentistry and Invisalign alignment services. He is committed to life-long learning to provide the best possible care for his patients and continue to broaden the services he offers.

    Ayden has happily returned to enjoy everything the beautiful Okanagan has to offer. Outside the clinic Ayden enjoys staying healthy at the gym, hiking, snowboarding, and cooking.
