Dr. Magee obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Dalhousie University, and, upon graduation, was accepted to the General Practice Residency (GPR) program at UBC, based in the Vancouver General Hospital. Dr. Magee has practiced dentistry in remote parts of Canada such as Haida Gwaii and Whitehorse. Internationally, he has worked in Vietnam and Cambodia, providing a mixture of hospital based oral surgery at the National Hospital of Odontostomatology and the care of children from various orphanages throughout Vietnam. Through these experiences Greg has developed a keen interest in oral surgery. He gained certification through the Vancouver General Hospital to provide conscious intravenous sedation for his patients and during his GPR Greg often worked with medically compromised and highly anxious patients. This has allowed him to develop a very patient centered approach to comprehensive dental care, and he joins us once a month to extract wisdom teeth under IV sedation. Outside of dentistry Greg’s interests include travelling and a love for the outdoors – namely golf and skiing tend to take up a good portion of his free time.
